Professional Honey Extraction Service for Small Beekeepers

Welcome to our Honey Extraction Service! If you’re a small beekeeper in Canterbury looking to sell your own honey but unsure how, we’re here to help. Our goal is to provide you with a time-saving and exceptional service that takes the hassle out of honey extraction and packaging.

We run three apiaries ourselves and as small beekeepers we understand only too well the hurdles small businesses and hobbyists face when they wish to sell their honey.

We have a fully equipped mobile facility that is registered under National Programme 3. This allows us to extract and package your honey to your specifications so you can sell your own honey!

Although we are based in Motukarara (20min drive south of Christchurch) we are a mobile business, so you can get our services wherever you are! Operating all year around, extraction starts in August/September with first honeyflow and finishes in late April.

You don’t have to worry about the quantity when you order from us – one box or a hundred – we are tailoring our service to your needs.

We have experience extracting Manuka and honeydew honey. If you wish to identify the exact make of your honey – we can test it for you at an external laboratory.

So how does it work?

Step 1: Picking up Honey Supers
Simply give us a call or schedule a pickup online, and we’ll come to your location to collect your honey supers at a convenient time. We take extra care to handle your equipment with the utmost respect, ensuring the honeycomb and frames remain intact. Ideally the supers would be taken off hives on the same day to prevent contamination (mould etc)

Step 2: Extracting Honey
Once we’ve picked up your honey supers, we transport them to our extraction facility. Cleanliness and hygiene are prioritised throughout the process, ensuring that your honey is pure and uncontaminated. The honey from your supers extracted with precision and care, ensuring the highest quality end product. Honey from different apiaries could be extracted separately to preserve original taste.

Step 3: Bottling or Packaging to Your Wishes
We understand that every beekeeper has their unique preferences when it comes to packaging their honey. We cater to your specific requirements and will work closely with you to understand your preferences and ensure that your honey is bottled or packaged exactly as you wish. Standard glass jars, pails, honeycomb boxes etc can be supplied to save you time and hassle of organising packaging yourself.
